Unlike Botox, dermal filler is injected into the surface or dermal layer of the skin. By binding hyaluronic acid to water molecules in the skin, dermal filler creates a fuller appearance to target areas. It is most often used to treat lines around the mouth, and enhance cheek bones and lips, giving the skin a more youthful consistent appearance.
